_5 INTER COUNCIL MEETING (ifcedutive Committee) - Jan. 11, 195 Jeanne Levinscn, advisor Present were: Rita Shoicket, Betty Orel, Maxine Sezak, David Navisky^ Mike Malliok and Barry Raveoh. \ The agenda oontained the following items-. 1. Question of Inters' smoking in the building 2. Committee recommendation regarding type of clothing to be worn in Inter Lounge. 3. Plans for Feb. Vacation Week Program 4. Report on Jan. 10 Senior Council meeting, 5. Operation Morocco film. 6. Report on Lynn JCC social* Mike Malliok, vice president of the Council, chaired the meeting. Jeanne stated that the Council had agreed earlier in the year that Inters not smoke in the bui_. ing yet this was not being enforced. One of the Council members reported that after gym some of the boys smoke in the 1st. floor lobby and also some smoking goes on outside of the Inter Loungo. All members expressed their feelings on this matter and everyone agreed further efforts should be made to ourtail the smoking. Jeanne v/as asked to have signs put up in places notifying Inters of this matter and sign it "Inter Council". Council members were urged to notify any Inter they saw smoking of the rule. Tho Tixecutive Committoe v/as unanimous in their feeling that casual, comfortable but clean clothes be worn in the Inter Lounge exoept on speoial occasions when dressier clothes would be called for. They stated a Lounge should be where you relax and you can relax much easier in slaoks and dungarees. This recommendation will go before full Council. Rev/ Idea3 suggested for the Bebruary Vacation Week Program were a Father-Son Night and a Mother-Daughter Banquet cr Tea. In addition Betty Orel volunteored to oontaot a diso jockey to see if he would be available for Tuesday, Feb. 21 or Monday, Feb. 2C. Sat., Feb.25 was omitted in view of the Purim Carnival on Sun., Feb. 26. David Ravisky reported that ho and Mike Malliok attended the Senior Council meeting and that regarding the Purim Carnival on Feb. 26 Council voted to have 2 different colored tickets printed up, one color for Sneiors and one for Inters. All money from Inter tickets sold In advance would be divided equally between Inter Council and clubs. All money from tickets sold at door would go to Sr. Council to cover their extra expenses of wood for booths, etc The Committee seemed very pleased that the Inters would be involved in this planning and exeoution of the lurim Carnival. Anita Kaplan reported on Operation Moroooo Committee's visit to CJA and how impressed they were with the film, "None Shall Make —lem Afraid". Jaanne said film was not avaliable on Jan. 18 so she reserved it for Feb. 1. Jeanne reported cost of bus service to Lynn JCC and return would be $27.00. It ia a 45 passenger bus. She repommended that 75*/ a person be the cost. Committee thought this was reasonable, and many said they would attend. \
