Constitution of the Golden Age Club of Dorchester, Massachusetts Article I> Name and object of club. Tl The name of this organization shall be known as the Golden Age Club of Dorchester. 2. The main object of this club shall be to provide recreation and social enjoyment for its members. 3, This organization is sponsored jointly by Hecht House and the Boston Section, National Council of Jewish Women. hs The dues of this club shall be ^1 per year and all membors shall be encouraged to become members of Hecht Houso. ">, The club year for purposes of dues shall run from Octobor 1 to October 1 of the following year. Membership fees become due again on October 1 for all members. Ai-ticlo II i Membership. Tl Membership shall be open to all adults, male and female over the ago of 60. 2. All new membors are to bo brought before the genoral membership at tho monthly business mooting. Article III: Officors. Tl Election of officers shall bo hold once a year. Tho first nomination is to be held on tho first Tuesday in May and the second nomination and election on the first Tuesday in Juno, The installation of officers shall take place on the 2nd Tuesday in June or at such other time as the planning board may decide. 2. Election of all officers shall be by socrot ballot. 3. Any member who has boon in good standing for six months priox- to election are eligible to hold office, U. The following officers arc to be elected; a President, two Vice- Presidents, a financial secretary, a treasurer, a recording scc- retai-y, three ti-ustocs, five members of the planning board and a Soi-goant of Arms. 5. The duties of tho officers shall bej Prcsidont - To prosido at all meetings of the Club, appoint spocial committors, and invito mombcrs to join tho Planning Board when necessary. Vico Pros. - To act in the capacity of tho President in caso ho is absent. The first V. P. is to act as pcrmanont chairman of tho Planning Board, and the second V. P. is to be Chairman of tho Trustees. Ti-oasurert To keep a i-ecord of all tho money he rocievos and havo same deposited in a bank in tho name of this club signod by tho President and the Treasurer. Financial Socretary: To keep a rocord of all the members and collect all the money which he is to turn over promptly to tho treasurer, and to keep a rocord of all financial transactions and to submit reports to the mombci,s at the gonoral meetings. Rocording Secrotary: To keep regular minutes of all the meetings and to take care of all the incoming and outgoing correspondence and to bring reports to all businoss meetings. Sergeant of —Ti3: To sec that order is maintained in tho club room and is to put out any offending member at the suggestion of the presiding officer and to check for paid up membership cards at business meetings. Trustecs: Have the duty of examining and approving all bills boforo payment is authorized, and to examine the books and all financial rocords once in 3 months and to report to the general mooting.
