_ Executive Committee <* ( June 27, 1967 The CJP Board of Trustees will be notified of this action and urged to act' accordingly. Calling attention to the fact that the preat deal of work required during this month's emergency forced defermenv of a number of CJP activities, Mr. Grossman advised that special effort be made to streamline some of the work of CJP in the next few months. Specifically he suggested that this year the national and overseas agencies not be granted automatically the usual privilege of a budget hearing before the several committees of the Social Planning and Allocations Committee. It was further suggested that the chairman of that Committee have discretionary power to grant or withhold such opportunity. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: That the National and Overseas Agencies be given an opportunity for hearings before the planning and allocations committees on a selective basis at the discretion of the Chairman of the Social Planning and Allocations Committee, with the understanding that this action is to be in effect only during the current fiscal year. Mr. Grossman announced that Leo Dunn, Chairman of the Metropolitan Division in the 1967 Annual Appeal, is providing leadership in the devel- ' opment of a year-round education program for the Division, an area of work, long recognized as needed for the common interest of CJP and the outlying communities, whose contact with CJP has been relatively limited. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the appointment of Louis Milender as chairman of the Long Range Planning Commission on Families and Individuals. Mr. Grossman reminded the Committee that work is proceeding on revision of CJP's By-Laws, copies of which had been mailed to the Committee. He urged members to communicate their suggestions for changes to Leonard Kaplan, Chairman of the By-Laws Committee, before July 5. Mr. Grossman also reported that a committee has been appointed, as authorized by the Executive Committee, May 23, 1967, to participate with the Jewish Community Council and other community organizations in considering the problems involved in dealing with requests by community groups for joint sponsorship or financing of community housing, the obtaining of loans, and other interfaith
