Ehrmann 80 Federal Street Boston, Massachusetts Dear ?£r. Ehrmann: I am sending you herewith a copy of an advertisement prepared by our office for placement in local newspapers by business concerns. The advertisement, as you see, ties in promotion of our relaxation of immigration campaign with the Thanksgiving Day celebration. These advertisements have been sent to your local Community Council. We know that the Council will be taking measures, as usual, to get these advertisements placed. But the campaign to build up a favorable attitude towards the immigration of displaced persons is, as you already know, a top priority concern for the American Jewish Committee and we would like to utilize your chapter's business resources as an additional means of seeing that these ads get the widest possible play. May I suggest, therefore, that you give your attention to the following: 1. Check with your Community Council as to what is being done to place these ads, advising them of your chapter's keen interest in the success of this particular project. 2. Check with business men in your chapter who ordinarily place ads in papers to determine whether they would wish to run this particular ad. This, of course, should be cleared with your Community Council. I should be much gratified to hear from you on this matter. Cordially, et-Cu^i^o S- /^-r-e-^aCLy- Louis S. Breier LSB:SL Encl.
