Israel's attack on Egypt served to bring this issue before the people, so perhaps it did some good after all. PRO-NASSER Newton. Three Year Job Your paper is to be highly commended on its editorial, "Unfair to Teachers.'' I am one of the temporary teachers who served for three years and then had to relinquish the profession for which I trained for a career in the husir.ess world, I would like to know of any other profession tl.af lorces one to abandon their work simply for having worked faithfully fur three ye; is. It is not teacher short- ege in Boston, but short sightedness on the part of the superintendent and the school committee. Let's hope that members of the present com- r..itec will correct this injustice and reward instead of penalize those who serve for three years. J. M Boston Djeserves Praise Your editorial, "Unfair to Teachers," deserves commendation. It is a commentao' on the school authorities in our fair city, that Boston dismi-sscs good teachers for rendering three successive years of teaching. Your editorial neglected to mention a very important fact that temporary teachers have no pension and are not covered by social security. I hope that the present school committee will correct this injustice, both for the sake of temporary teachers and the pupils in the Boston schools. * M. H.
